- Hi J. R.,
- I ran across your web-site on the Internet the other day. It is a
great web-site, (one of the best ones that I have ever seen).
- Do you remember me? Many years ago you were recommended to me by a
friend. I was looking for a bombproof babysitter mare for my kids to
learn to ride and show on.
-
- At that time I was a recent widow with four little girls ages 10,
8, 5, and 2. One of the last things that their Dad had promised them
(before he was killed in a car wreck) was a horse to ride and show.
- With the lawsuit money from the drunk driver who's fault the
wreck was and my husbands Life Insurance I was left financially secure.
So I wanted to make good on their dads last promise and I called you.
-
- You told me all about a little 13.3 hand paint mare that
you nick-named "Sweetie Pie", that you had for sale and she sounded
perfect for us. I bought her site unseen from you (just on your word) as
to what a great little mare that she was. You had bought her and trained
her for Cutting and Western Pleasure.
-
- Well, to make a long story short, she was everything that you said
she was, and more ! We kept Sweetie Pie until she died and that wonderful
little mare taught all 4 of my little girls and me to ride. She was shown
for many years in 4-H in every event by all of our girls. They then went
on to show her and win a ( 3rd. place) at the PtHA World Championship Show
in Youth Cutting, and a ( 5th. place ) in Youth Western Pleasure.
-
- Thank heavens for great trainers like you, as you really did a
great job one her. And also thank you very much for being so honest with
me. It would have been easy to have taken advantage of a widow with very
little horse knowledge, but you did'nt. You were completely honest in
every way and I will always remember what a fine man that you were. It
would be a wonderful world if everyone were as honest and upstanding as
you. Thru the years I have told a lot of people about you and how honest
and fair that you were, and what a fantastic horse trainer that you are.
You certainly give Horse-trainers and Cowboys a good name.
-
- May your future be bright and may the good Lord keep you safe and
successful.
-
- Your old friend and admirer,

| This is the Schaefer family
from Illinois.
They wanted a bombproof babysitter for their 3 children to
learn to ride on and to show in 4-H with. I sold them Arrays Second Tinker
who I nick-named Porky. He is out of the World Champion Cutting Stallion:
A Fine Array, and out of the World Champion Calf Roping Mare: Tinkers Judy.
After the Schaefers bought him they nick-named him Chief. He was a 4-H
State Champion in Halter as a two year old, and is also a wonderful
Versatility Ranch Horse and Trail horse. All of the Schaefer kids show him
in 4-H in just about every event. |

- We have had a great
summer. The kids showed the horses in the 4-h fair and we had
another Japanese exchange student this summer. He loved the
horses and we put him on Chief aka Porky every time he rode.
-
- Chief is always a
gentleman and we never have to worry about him even with an
inexperienced rider. We really love him and he truly is a
bombproof horse.
I was really happy to
see that you are involved with Cowboys for Christ. That was just
one more confirmation that we made the right decision when buying Chief.
We prayed that God would
lead us to the right horse and even in our inexperience with horses He
got us the one He intended us to have. This just confirms it to us
that God was in this from the beginning!
